We hold regular coffee mornings at the British Embassy and at Starbucks throughout the year. All these coffee mornings are held on Tuesdays from 10am to 12noon. Further information is given below.

Our monthly coffee mornings are usually held on the second Tuesday of every month, except during July and August, at the British Embassy from 10am-12noon (confirmed dates listed below). These meetings are informal and there is plenty of time to chat and even to shop, as different artisans are invited each month to sell their wares during the meeting. We also host a book exchange table (with proceeds going to a BWC-supported charity).
This is also an opportunity to find out what activities and events are on offer for that month and sign up sheets will be available at these meetings. Old and new members usually go for lunch after these meetings; please ask a committee member for details during the meeting.
Please note that we have limited space and no childcare facilities at the Embassy meetings but, if you are new to Moscow without any childcare arrangements, we will be happy to welcome you and your children to the meeting. We want you to be able to fully enjoy the meetings but, as we cannot provide childcare, please be aware that you remain responsible for looking after your children (especially in terms of safety, with hot drinks being carried around etc.), and keeping them reasonably quiet during the announcements.
If you would like to attend, please contact us in advance (by the previous Thursday) at members@bwcmoscow.co.uk as the security guards on the gate will only admit people on our list. The Membership Secretary will send you a reply email to confirm you are on the security list. If you do not receive this email, please contact her or another member of the committee to make sure that you are on the list, otherwise security will not let you in.
Directions to the Embassy: The British Embassy is located on the river bank close to the White House. The entrance to the Embassy is on Protochny Pereulok. The nearest metro station is Smolenskaya - on the number 4 blue line (line number 3, also blue, will take you to the wrong side of the street!). The Embassy is a 5 min. walk from the station.
The next monthly Embassy meeting will be on Tuesday, 9th December. - New members must remember to register by the Thursday before this meeting!
