Monthly Coffee Morning
These coffee mornings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Embassy from September to June (please check the confirmed dates on the Coffee Mornings page). You need to be on the Embassy's security list to access this coffee morning. If you are a new member, please contact the Membership Secretary by the Thursday before the Embassy meeting at members@bwcmoscow.co.uk. More information is also available on the Coffee Mornings and Membership & Contacts pages.


Weekly Coffee  
Our informal coffee mornings are held at Koffein every Tuesday, except when there is an Embassy meeting. These coffee mornings run throughout the year and are open to BWC members and non-members. Please visit the Coffee Mornings page for more information.

BWC Family Network
This group organises activities for families with children of all ages throughout the year. Sign up at a coffee morning to receive updates on FN events or email: bwcfamnet@gmail.com. The FN also organises monthly Mums' Night Outs and occasional Family Sunday Brunches, as well as an annual Christmas Party. Please see the Family Network page for more details.

Mahjong Made Easy

Tuesdays 1.30-4.30

Please come and join us for a very relaxed version of this ancient Chinese game involving tiles, winds, dragons, flowers and twittering sparrows!

We will take it in turns to host the afternoons - helpful when we all spend so much time travelling. We are a fairly recent group and many members are beginners, so don't worry if this game is completely new to you - we will all be learning together. You never know - we might give the native players a run for their money! Following the British version we don't gamble or actively steal each other's tiles.

BWC Bridge Group
This fun and informal group meets every Thursday from 2-5pm at a group member's home in central Moscow. A knowledge of bridge or card games is recommended, although all levels are welcome. Please contact Sue: nikansu@tx.rr.com if you would like to join.

BWC Yoga with Anne Klein
Anne Klein organises yoga classes for the BWC in English; for beginners to advanced; for both individuals (1,500R/class) and groups (2,000-2,500R/class). BWC members are also invited to join Anne’s Hatha yoga class every Sunday evening at the NYM Yoga studio. For more information and to join, please contact Anne at: a.k.558877@gmx.de.

BWC Indian Cookery Classes
Mona is holding Indian cookery classes for BWC members on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 - 3 pm. Three different dishes will be taught during each class and drinks and a print out of the recipes will be provided. The classes will be held at Mona's house near M. Nakhimovsky Prospect. Cost: 1,200R. for a single class or 4,750R. for five beginner level classes. Mona can be contacted directly for more information at mona.vikas.ajwani@hotmail.com.

Book Exchange
At the Embassy coffee mornings we run a book/magazine/film exchange. Donate your used paperbacks, magazines, DVDs or videos and get something new to read/watch for a small fee (proceeds to charity). 

Every month we organise various events and activities. Most of these will be available to members, friends and guests, but check with the activity coordinators before signing up.  Previous visits include museums, walking tours, dinners etc. Suggestions and volunteers to run activities and events are always welcome!

Please note: More detailed information about all our visits and tours is available from activities@bwcmoscow.co.uk and on the BWC members' forum. If you would like to take part in any of the activities, please sign up at any of our coffee mornings, or by emailing the activities coordinators at the above email address.

To confirm your place on a visit, we now need a deposit per person for each trip. This will normally be Rb200. If the cost of the trip is less than Rb200, the deposit is the full amount. Cancellation will be accepted with full refund up till 48 hours prior to the excursion (unless specified otherwise in the blurb). Please understand that if payment is required in advance, we cannot guarantee your place until this is done, and the event may have to be cancelled if we do not reach the minimum number required.

Please make sure that you are on the Embassy's security list at least four days ahead of any event being held at the British Embassy (otherwise you will not be allowed in, even if you are a British passport holder). Current BWC members are included on this list, but if you are a new member please check with the membership secretary (members@bwcmoscow.co.uk) to make sure we have your details correctly.
